portable power supply for block heater

Has anyone ever heard of or made a portable power supply to run their block heater at locations that don't have power? Just curious I drove my truck into work the other morning and after 8 hours sitting in the parking lot it was slow and hard to start. I was wondering if one of the battery pack jump starters would work if you modified it? Thanks in advance!
