Its almost like putting the truck back into the stock settings going back to the superchips isn't it Rick . When are you going to get those new injectors in and start towing 20K loads like a lawnmower trailer.
Also, I have missed nearly three days of FTE and I actually had an hour to catch up, though it did look pretty cool didn't it ?

Hey bud, injectors are going in next weekend with my .01 glow plugs. lol. Lawnmower trailer. . Yeah, 21K on top of my trailer. .
It did look cool, looking at all the recent post and only see you on there. I don't know but I think thats another first. CONGRATS.
EDIT: Looks like you still have most of them. I know I can't rep you, but I will try.
So Ron when can we excpect to see some dyno numbers out of your previous early bird?
when i get my tax check i want to get the Garrett BB..talking with Jody about where and when i can do some live tuning..then ill hit the dyno..but my SOP is very happy where we are at
[quote=miller_feed;6824735]I will look at the valve springs and push rods once I finish these injectors ans glow plugs. I sure hope you are right about the 500 HP Ron. . I can't wait to get them in there and put my chip back in. The Superchip is not getting along with my mods I have. I put it in Performance this morning and I will tell you one thing. I am so glad I have the DP, the superchip is really disipointing after running the DP. This is the first time I put the Superchip in sense I had the DP. Two totally different worlds.[Quote]
i ran my truck a week with no tunes..it was hard to do but it all turned out great in the end..with the new injectors and new tunes..it was like a new truck all over again...if you thought the DP tuner made you grin before when it was new... your going to have a grin that wont quit for now on after he burns them for you SS..did you get moded nozzles??.. if can find studs for a good price..ill be putting them in but its nothing i need to worry about so i been told..the biggest thing is VS and push rods..its only another 500 bucks to help save the pistons...im looking into having the bearings coated with a anti-friction coating...it helps the bearings live longer during cold starts and help them take a little more abuse..but its 125 bucks to have them coated..but then again..its a small price to pay to help her live longer
I am putting my Miller Feed glow plugs into the truck in a couple of weeks to help out my cold starts. I can't wait to see that big dually rolling some big coals . YOu'll love the pull of her now if you and Roland get them in, is Jim still gonna make it down?

Ron if you get to go to Smokin 09 you could get your live tuning and Dyno done there if you can wait that long.

I like what you said about the SS injectors. No, I got what comes with the SSs. I tow heavy loads so I think having a good spray pattern will benefit me more instead of dumping the fuel in real fast. I do understand why you would go with the bigger nozzles, more power, but also higher EGT. I feel a lot better about going in to these mods. The more I do, the more I want to get deeper into it. I do have the advantage of having Roland come and help me. That guy is a real mechanic, so I am blessed to have him for a friend. He is bringing tools to help with the pinion seal install, the injectors install, the glow plugs install, and we will finally fix my exhaust touching my fire wall where it comes off the turbo. The drone is driving me crazy. We will torque every thing under the VCs, and make a clip for the VCH.
Rick what do you mean make a clip for the Valve Cover Harness?
JD, I just seen a post on this. I thought it was Chris that did it, but I guess not. Take a quarter (yes money) and grind it down on the top, then slip it into where the latch is for the connection. I know I am so wrong trying to tell you, but the pics are priceless. Darn, I can't remember who posted that, I will look around and see if I can find it. It is cool.

I think Robin might have done this......or at least, he has posted the pics of it before. He is usually Johnny on the spot with the pictures

Travis, I don't know but you makes me think that Robin is the one. Yes he is Johnny on the spot. Don't think you are not Johnny on the spot more times then not. I wish the rep Police didn't have me locked up.

Yes I did it, but I got the idea from someone else here several months before. I don't remember who originally did it, so I can't give credit where it's due. But I do like to pass on good ideas.
Sounds like you've got a heck of a weekend coming up. I imagine with Roland there things will be pretty smooth sailing.
If you don't mind, ohm your glowplugs before you pull them and see if they read good or bad. Also take some pics of them for me if you don't mind. I'm assuming you're just swapping them out since you'll be in there, and probably pull them anyway to make sure the oil is out of the cylinder? I couldn't find an Autozone near me with the penny glowplugs, so I missed out on that deal. I don't have any (what we consider) cold starting issues, so I haven't been too worried.

Ok, Chris. I don't have a problem with my glo-plugs right now. I am changing them because I will be in the VC changing the injectors. I will get Roland to test them before I chang them to see what is up. I was lucky enough to get 3 sets of glow plugs for a penny each. I kept 1 set and sent the other two to our FTE brothers.
Roland is the man. I am so lucky he is helping me.
Kind of like having Kris help you. Knows what is going on.
