Faster than a 'Stang

92 Taurus SHO, original TN car, completely rust free. Got in pieces, no drivetrain, finished building 6/08 with a 3.2l DOHC V6, 5 speed, and other goodies. Dyno'd (untuned) at 200 FWHP, 198 FWTQ 9/08.

At Gingerman Raceway in South Haven, MI this past july

The trip home, with the POS utility trailer that holds all the junk I could possibly break on the track:

OK, you asked for it. I have 3 of these but this one is nearest to my heart. It is a 70 with an 88 H.O., C-4, later bucket seats, etc... I think these cars have some of the best lines Ford ever put to metal. Of course I don't care for the big bumper cars just the small ones.

That's awesome, not only do you DRIVE your car to the track but it pulls a trailer with it's parts?? How many race cars have trailer hitches?

This is great! Its driven to the track and even carries its own parts. Notice the one in front of him is on a trailer.

Thanks dan and TexasGuy!

These cars are a ton of fun, and not insanely expensive to build. It does raise a few eyebrows when you show up to a track with a Taurus though!

The guy in front of me in the pic is one of my friends, we had caravaned out together. That red car is set up a lot different than mine, and could probably be driven to the track and back, but not comfortably! It's basically a track only car. Mine is built pretty much to stock specs, very comfortable to drive (even for 1000 miles straight through!).

Some nice rides on here, I love that Maverick!

Beautiful Mustang! I checked your gallery to see if there were any more pics of it, your truck is really nice too...

I really need to move out of the rust belt, the condition of some of these southern cars and trucks is making me drool!

I currently don't own a car but this my favorite toy.

I bought it from the original owner. It's not a tire burner but it keeps up with traffic.

Thank you for the comments. I love the Mustang and the Taurus, that is so cool driving it to race. That is a true street car, I always liked that boby style too. Of course the Mustang, what can you say, it is an icon.

There are some super cars on here. I tend to be Ford through and through but I appreciate all makes and like to see them. Thanks everybody for posting.
