This is the second time he has had adds for that stuff on kijiji.

I would snap up a tail gate in a second, if they were just a tad cheaper!

That does seem high, I got one for my 92, which while it`s alot older but it was only $80 for a new unused re pop at a swap meet. Check out Walkers Auto, they usually aren`t too bad.

Never thought to check out walkers.

I assume they wouldnt come with the symbol, or the paint though, and who knows what other hardware a guy would have to get, or, would it come complete...??

It would be a bare tailgate only, you have to reuse your old hardware and accesories. If you don`t have the old t/g you`d need to get them at the wreckers.......

Now I wonder if the hardware from a 03 tailgate would work in an 08 one...?

I would really like to get a 08 tailgate with the camera in it, hook itup to my dvd player!

I wonder if a tailgate camera would actually work for more than 6 months. My back up alarm never did work on my 05 F350 and I couldn`t be bothered to fix them.

I would imagine a guy could keep the backup camera working.

My backup system never worked on my 03 either, and I was the same way, never bothered to fix it. I think I would find that more annoying working though!

Backup camera would be handy for Sandi though, when backing up to the boat.

Is a t/g camera available from an aftermarket supplier such as Canadian tire?

Yes they are available from lots of places, just would be neat to have an actual stock ford one!

As much as I usually prefer factory accessories for the most part the aftermarket camera`s might work for a longer period.
So far I`m not at all impressed with the factory back up sensor system.

Yeah I hear ya.

I look at some things that come stock on a ford vehicle, and well, there is always room for improvement.

Thats why there is aftermarket dealers and stuff!

Not sure where a good place would be to go to get a quality backup camera though. I would think that a canadian tire one MIGHT be a cheapy.
