Full flow oil filter

Trying to get set up with a full flow filter on my 239 Flathead V8. Have read an article about the proceedure in a magazine and it looked pretty straight forward but when I look at my block there is no second boss near the top of my block. I only have one boss with one verticle and one horizontal 1/4" NPT opening. What gives. I am working on a '52 F1. Do I have an older motor and is there any way I can accomplish this?

Thanks

Steve
