You don't need to bother. Drop the steering column down and remove the ignition switch from the top of the column near the firewall. Just lift the column back up and put the bolts back in and let the switch hang on the harness.
Use a small screwdriver to move the ignition switch. Push and hold it all the way to the right to start the engine, release when it fires. To shut it off, just move the slider back to the 2nd to last position towards the left.
The farthest position to the left is ACC. If you leave it there, you'll drain the battery. Leave the radio on until you get a feel for the clicks and know which spot is which.
I drove my '90 for almost a year like this before I fixed the actuator rod.

Jump a hot wire to the positive side of the coil, red wire, should get you there. Tap into the red wire anywhere for that matter.
Of course either way you won't be able to drive it, going for the ignition switch itself or just a simple hot wire. The steering wheel will remain locked and you wouldn't be able to turn without the key.

They should click when you attach the hot wire, connecting a hot wire to the red wire/circuit is the same thing the key does in the "run" position. keep in mind everything won't work but it should start and run for ya.
Not sure what else you want to be able to do without a key? If the OP can't come up with a key you're going to have to drill the key tumbler and replace it. Much easier if the OP could just find the key.
