Whats up bro? I could use some advice. My`90 F-150 has developed some ignition problems. I modified the engine with just about everything. Now it will run for awhile until it warms up,then it will sudenly just die. I`m pretty sure the TFI module is gettin` too hot, but dont know what would be causing it.

They are susceptible to heat soak.

The TFI module has probably had it.

Is yours on the fender or distributor?

There probably isn't any grease on the back of it between it and the heat sink.

pickup coils can have that effect also, when they get hot then die cool down and run like a top again.
