Well actually, I guess this should be a real talk about bio-butanol fuel. Two things come to mind when I wonder why it doesn’t get more discussion. One it’s not as popular to the public yet and two it has some development changes to make it price comparable to gasoline.

 

Several reasons:
a) not available publicly as a fuel
b) the farm lobby is backing ethanol
c) mandates are about ethanol
d) more expensive than ethanol,
e) etc.,

While it's better than ethanol in many respects, it's so far behind ethanol that barring a miracle, it won't be able to make it up.

 

Nice thing though it's a direct replacement for gas. Just dump the stuff in and go. Check out ButylFuel,LLC Main Page Guy ran his Park Ave across the country. I support it and I'm no farmer.
