F150 engine swap
I have a 1990 F250 4x4 extended cab 460 auto that runs great but is extremly rusty. I also have a very clean 1990 F150 4x4 extended cab 5.0 auto that is missing the engine. Is this a pretty straight forward swap to drop the 460 in the F150? If not what challenges am I up against?

Depends upon your definition of straight forward. You will need the F250 tranny because the 460 won't mate to the F150 tranny.. not that it would last if it did. You will also need to upgrade the front springs on the F150 to handle the extra weight of the big block.

Since they are both the same year I bet the chassis wiring differences are minimal if any, the engine harness will be pretty much seperate from the chassis harness and use the same connectors. I'd even suspect there are very few if any differences in the engine harness seeing they are both V8's, but it only takes 1 misplaced wire to throw a code or cause operating problems. You'll have to do some comparison of the 2 wiring harnesses and note any obvious differences.
