There is really no story behind the patina, I was just trying to accomplish the paint in my head. I was just imagining a vehicle that has never been washed, been through some barns, Been hog hunting. That sorta thing lol. So I sat down and drew me a photo up. Then had my dads shop order me some ppg chromabase whites, browns, and blacks. Then bam, Just went to town on it lol.

Have to bring this thread back around.

Been dealing with some charging problems, So I replaced the alt, Still acted the same, Then messed with the voltage regulator and everything is working great. I got my projectors and hids wired up, Still have to aim them up alittle. But they will do for now. Also added clear to the truck to give it a deeper look.

That is amazing patina. I've never seen anything like it... it looks as if it were pulled out of a swamp. I'm digging it.

I am using Dodge 16x7 steelies (in the first photo im running 97-03 black hubcaps). Now i'm running some hubcaps I found at the shop, ( no markings on them ) And tire size i'm running 225/75/16 I believe. Im still in the market on finding the 17x7 version.

Stock 97-03 hubcaps

Some random hubcaps I found at the shop. Looks to be a old Mercury or Lincoln logo on them.

thanks, I have a 17" version of those steel wheels and was planning to run dog dish caps, centercaps like you used, or spider caps on them once they get mounted.

If you dont run spacers, you might run into hub mounting problems on the front. I just had mine milled to fit the hub, But then rubbed on the coil tower. So then ended up just having to run a 1" spacer.

Lets see lowered attitude 2wds dents here

So at the expense of displaying my ignorance and rookie status, I'm posting a video of my truck project. 74 body onto a 78 chassis. Doing some lowering while I'm into the swap. I may need to shim the rearend for proper drive shaft angle, but that should be easy enough.
Nothing done yet on the front end, but I plan to do a coil cut and I-beam bend. Just can't afford drop beams at the moment. I know they'd probably be the preferred way to lower, but by doing what I'm doing, I should have about $50 in lowering shackles, which may ultimately come off as well. No drop blocks. Took them back as I won't need them.

I'll keep videos posted with progress. I'd appreciate the feedback as well.

William

Have you measured that shackle length, I think you might be running into clearance issues with the bed and the shackle, I know when I did my Djm's they seem to be pretty tight in there,
