Tranny Huntin'

Hey Folks,
Well, sad day..gotta either replace my tranny or have it rebuilt. Anyone in this neck of the woods that would know what a used TK5 would run for? It's for an 85 Ranger and goes behind a 2.8 V6. 5 speed Mazda type tranny.

Ok, I think...heh..
Actually I checked a couple of local junkyards that said they had one, each wants $350 for one. There is a good tranny guy not far from my dads house that could rebuild mine for around the same amount. May just go with him, if I can find enough pennies laying around! BH said she has a quarter buried I can have.

Yours a 4x2 or a 4x4? I have one that had 35K miles on it when it was removed from a wrecked 1985 2.8L Bronco II. That's been quite a few years ago but the transmission/transfer case is still here. You can run down and look at it if you like. I'd take $100 without the transfer case or $150 with.

Or I'd trade for a set of '94-'04 16" Mustang factory alloy wheels.......
