Turkey Day...what Are Your Plans???

Hey New England...Turkey Day is right around the corner...what are your plans???

I will be attending a small family function...traditional fare...turkey...stuffing...real mashed spuds...cranberry sauce...veggies...loads of desserts!!! I'm responsible for the pies...chocolate cream...my fathers' favorite...and apple!!!

Did you know...that if the Indians had given the Pilgrims a donkey...instead of having turkey...we'd all get a piece of...wait...George said I couldn't type that here!!!

I hope every one has plenty to be thankful for this year!!!

The local weather guru is saying a nice day. Sunny and low 40's. I will be cooking the usual assasinated turkey with fixins'. The Misses is a native Texan so we get cornbread stuffing and sweet potato pie!

I have number of adult beverages on hand incase it I need it.

I will be having a bon fire with the nice weather!

We're hosting at our house for the first time ever.
His parents, his godmother, his brother and fiance, his aunt/uncle and their two kids.
My parents, my brother and his g/f, her two kids

I'm nervous! Mostly because of the kids. Our house isn't kid friendly.
My mom has offered to come help me cook all day, so that's reassuring.
At least I know the food will be cooked properly. lol

The menu:
turkey, meat stuffing, meat pie, butternut squash, mashed potatoes, carrots with cheese sauce, green bean casserole, sweet potato casserole, and jellied cranberry sauce.
And people are bringing rolls, wine, beer, snacks, and desserts.

Hopefully the alcohol will calm my nerves.
