2WD Dentsides with 460's

How many of you out there would be interested in a set a chassis (fenderwell) exit headers for 2WD dentsides with 460's? I bought a set for 4WD and only the passenger side fits. I bought some mandrel bends and am going to make a prototype for the drivers side to clear the steering box. I will then send my prototype to the manufacturer and he will make up a production piece for me at limited to no cost for my efforts. he then intends to produce them since no one seems to make them bigger than 1 3/4". These would be 2" primaries with a 3 1/2" collector.

Were the ones you bought the hedman headers? Those things are costly!! Are they going to refund you on the set that are "4wd" headers??

No John, the ones I bought were from ebay. They are Maddogs. They owner bought them and tried to make them fit an 80's lightning and beat them up pretty good. I took a chance that they would fit and now I have to make them fit.

Finished the header two week ago and sent them off to michigan to get two sets made up. Now sure on the price yet but I believe they are going to have a part number from mad dog so their will be a good option for 2wd/460 guys. I forgot to take any pictures before we sent them off so I will get some when the sets come back.

I just want to get my set free. I bought the 4wd set and a buddy and I did the modifications. The passenger side had to be bent out about 2 inches to clear the arm that holds the I-Beam. I did not realize when I bought them that the 4wd steering box is in a lot different location than a 2wd steering box, so the drivers side was a total rebuild one tube at a time. I think they turned out pretty good for our first header build.

I hear where you are coming from. I have been trying to get fenderwell headers on my junk for 3 years. I just kept scouring the internet, hoping maybe I would find someone that makes them. Never could find any so we decided to make our own.

Update

Spoke with Mark from mad Dog headers today. He is wondering what the interested in these headers would be. There is no price set yet but he would like to know what kind of market there is and if he should apply a part number and market them on his website. You can visit his website here for more information on Marks products.

Let him or myself know so this can happen.

Thank you
Miles

List started, just add your name... even if you are on the fence. more names=better chance of a production piece
