Taller tire that will fit

2007 F250 Crew Cab, short bed.

Has stock 265/70/17's on there now. Anyone know what's the tallest tire I can put on the stock wheels and not rub? Thx!

I believe you can work up to 295 without much rub, 285 would be a little safer. Either way, your not going up much, 20mm in width is only about 28mm(1.1") in height. It's the width that causes most of the rubbing, find a tire with a numerically higher aspect ratio (the second number).

285/75/17 Toyo MT would be about 34"+ tall and 11.5" wide, more or less

285 is the max, with 295 you will need a 2.5 leveling kit to make it work.

Because it would be un-level, or for space?

I run 295/70/17 on a stock 2005 truck and have no issues with clearance. Unless you have a diesel, there shouldn't be an issue, and I don't know Norcal, do you have a diesel? The reason I say this, just so no one gets bent out of shape, is that a friend and I bought the same trucks (2005 CC, same options), his with a diesel and mine with a gas engine. His is an F350, mine an F250. His sat one inch lower in the front and one inch higher in the rear, so based on my measurements, the diesel sits about one inch lower in the front than a similar gas truck.

mine was a 06 F250. I felt that there was not enough when off roading.

I had one issue with clearance. I have mud flaps on the front fender and while driving in slushy snow it built up and and became pretty hard (made like a big frozen snow ball behind the tire). When I tried to turn, the tires had to break off the almost frozen snow/ice, so it took a second of hard steering to break it and I had to drive straight (weird circumstance that wouldn't happen without the mud flaps). I've had my truck offroad, but not on a "Jeep trail" and don't get it "twisted up" while offroad, at least not very much. I haven't had any issues with rubbing anything. Senix, was your truck a gas or diesel?

No, FX4 doesn't add height over any other package. I've got the same truck 2005 F250 and have ~34" tires.

I fit 35s on my truck with no problems, but my truck is as light as you can get.

295/70R17 or 285/75R17 as said above should fit with no problems.
