The keypad on my 2003 Supercrew HD has become difficult to use. Sometimes it works sometimes not. Kind of like the lottery as to whether or not the door will unlock. Seems the problematic buttons are the 5/6 and the 9/0. Remotes and Internal Lock Switches all work fine.

I called the local Stealership for pricing on the Keypad and they said $118.72 with tax for the replacement. I told them that I did not need the whole exterior handle assembly and they said that price is just the Keypad.

Any recommendations in our supporting vendor base for this part at a reasonable price? A new or tested used one is ok with me.

-Or are there any known fixes for this condition?

The cheapest thing to do would be to program in a new code and not use the troublesome buttons.

 

Great Idea! I will do that tomorrow.

Still want to try and find a replacement at a reasonable price.
