Hey everybody! I'm new here like everyone else that posts here. I just got a 03' F250 5.4L SD XLT and am really excited to have my own truck, as I would use my father in laws when needed. I really wanted a diesel but couldn't pass up the price, so the diesel will have to wait. Now to the question. With gas prices these days I'm looking for ways to improve my gas mileage and performance. So anybody has recommendations please let me know. Thanks

Hello All,

I am James from Monroe GA. I am the owner of a new to me 2006 F350 Crew Cab King Ranch 4x4. I have always owned trucks but never had a diesel. It is stock now but I plan to do a 6 inch lift and some 35 or 37 inch tires real soon. I look forward to reading and learning from this site.

Hello from Moline

I am a newbie here.............from Moline, Illinois - home of the John Deere Tractor. Just traded in a 01' F250 lariat super duty crew cab 7.3 for a 05' f 350 dually lariat super duty crew cab with 75K. I am nervous(6.0 issues) but the truck seems to be so super clean and near mint. Runs like a dream. I love this site............

Howdy Y'all!

I'm new here, from Spring, Tx. Currently in Ghana, but coming home in 5 more weeks. I'm getting into the market for a new to me Superduty diesel. I was origionally looking for a 7.3 only, and there are just so many 6.0's and 6.4's out there...I figured I needed to see what was up with them...surely there would be a way to tell if the one that I happened to be looking at was a dud, right? So, I'll be lurking, maybe asking some questions.

I'm currently in an '05 F-150, 5.4l, 2WD...LOVE it! I bleed Ford blue any time I'm not bleeding Cowboy blue!

Hello all. Not new here but only second post. Looking to buy a 2005 F250 King Ranch with 6.0 diesel. Just looking around on here for any and all info on the truck with it's pro and cons. Any insight would be great for a diesel newbie.

New to this site. I was wondering why I started having an oil leak on my 350, after reading the tech page(THANKS FOR THE INFO), I now see where to look before hauling it to my mechanic. I serious doubt I would attempt to repair it myself. I am a plumbing contractor and can fix almost any plumbing issues, but when it comes to truck issues, I'll leave it to the ones who know what they are doing. Look forward to reading and learning...

hi and a question

hello im new to the forum and i have a question. prolly not the right spot for this question but im still learnin how to work this site. i own a 2005 ford 250 ext cab diesel 4by4. i recently had my tranny flushed and The only reason i had it done is cause i was talkin bout changin the filters my self and i needed to know how much fluid i needed to replace what i took out and how much it cost. the service techs response was we can flush it and have u ready to go in an hour and a half and itll save u the hassell and it will be done right. my question is when getting a torqueshift tranny flushed at a dealer what is the proper procedure? i had mine done and i dont think they changed the filters which defeates the pourpose. right?

Hello Everyone. I have been lurking for awhile. I am currently running a 2001 7.3 6 speed 4X4 with a few mods. A 1987 Ford Bronco XLT. I have been collecting parts for the Bronco and a 1991 F250 I had I will be putting my Dana 60 Straight Axle and Bronco Rancho lift kit up for sale. Iwould rather put them on here versus Flea Bay.....

Hi there, Ken Bruce here
I have mostly owned Ford Trucks. except for a couple of 5 window Chevy 49-52, pickups when I was a kid.

My current is a 2009 F350 XLT SuperCab 8ft bed 6.8L Auto. 4X4 4:10 Diff.

My current project is a aux battery and inverter. Thanks to this forum I have found and bought a frame mount E series battery box from Ebay. Now I am trying to figure out the Isolator (Sure Power 16023A- 160 Amp, 1 Input, 2 Battery). Solinoid is not an option for me. That V10 takes up almost all of the engine compartment. Not sure where to mount and then there is the Alternator wiring GEEZ :0(

Thank you for this resource

Here's my list. 86 F150 4wd, 86 F250 6.9 2wd, 90 Ranger 2wd wrecked, 97 F150 4wd, 95 Explorer 4wd, 01 F250 7.3 2wd, 02 Explorer 4wd, 04 Explorer 4wd. 99 Explorer 4wd wrecked by one of my sons 8 years ago. Yeah, I know. But I live in the country, and have the room. My wife has other opinions.

I searched this forum before but just joined today. I have a 97 F150 xlt ext cab 4x4 long bed with 256,000 miles on it and just bought a 2004 F250 xlt ext cab 4x4 long bed with 135,000 to replace the 97. I like the 04 so much I want to keep the 97 for dirty jobs but I already have 3 other cars and my wife says the 97 must go. I am having an issue with hard shifts on the 04 but I created another post that goes into more detail.
Love the site!
