Hi All,
New member to the forum, just bought my first Ford truck. F250 Super Duty, Lariat, 4 door, 4x4, 6.0 turbo with approximately 4600 hours on it. Don't know mileage as the speedo does not work yet. Will be posting about electrical gremlins as soon as I figure out where to ask!

Hello, everyone. I just acquired a 1949 pickup that has been mildly massaged by the former owner by being basically resurrected from an old, rusty in-the-field farm truck. I hope that it doesn't rile up any purists, but the truck sports a 289 Ford engine, Camaro front-end and Chevy (God help me) 10-bolt rear-end...plus a GM tilt-wheel. The rest is all Ford.
I owned a stock 1948 Ford about 25 years ago and stupidly sold the truck....one of those things that I wish I hadn't done, but I'm sure we have all fallen into that trap at one time or another.
The current truck has a few minor issues due to the former owner's not having completed a few things. For one thing, the emergency brake is not hooked up, and I hope to get some help from one of you members. Mind you, I am having to learn all about the F-1 from scratch and hope that I can get some answers here. I have not joined any other group.
I am 77, a retired dentist and jazz band drummer. Also interested in varmint hunting.
I hope the forums will provide the information I need and also hope that I can provide information to the members in return.
I look forward to meeting you in the forums or via emails.

I have been a lurker until a car show in Flagstaff this past weekend....lots of F-100's. I entered and drove a 1960 F-100 with a 1965 Utilco Box on the back the 325 miles up to Flagstaff. Twenty year old tires, no rubber in the doors or windows, no upholstery short of some cardboard and lawn cushions over the raw springs. With 2" gaps in the window rubber and the heaviest rain Phoenix has seen in eons we were drenched. My wife still loves me after the trip up at 104 degrees and the trip back wet as a pooch. I will now make a spreadsheet to figure my costs on making this beauty into a fair weather camper. I am thinking bolt on horsepower to the 232ci so I can keep the drive train and my wife by installing AC.

Just bought a 1995 f150 regular cab, 300 six, 5 speed, 4wd with manual hubs. I drove it 15-18 miles home with only a few clutch hickups since it has been awhile since I drove a stick and the clutch needs some work. Steering wheel wobbles, but it tracks like it is on rails. Needs lots of work on the driver door to get it all working, lock, hinge bushing, window winder, and put the door panel back on. From my user name you can guess the price. So I feel I did pretty good. Need to fix that steering wheel wobble, seat belts, and the hinge bushing before I would feel comfortable driving it much, but it did ok getting home.
Sorry saw this was the heavy duty site, I just clicked the first link in the PM I got when I joined.

Hello all!
I registered with this site as I am seriously considering ordering a 2015 F150 Lariat as I will be definitely buying a truck as soon as more information on the 2015's is made available. To be honest right now the competition in my mind is between a Ford as mentioned above and a Ram Laramie - potentially the eco-diesel or the 3.6L V6.
The information that I am principally waiting on is the MPG numbers on the Ford and the new "build and price" web pages for each of the trucks mentioned. The Ford may be the choice but it is going to be close as Ram makes a compelling case. Right now it's a toss up and the more information I gain between now and December when I expect to place my order the better. Thanks for listening and the feedback gained from this site is invaluable to my decision.

Good morning!
As of Tuesday I am a first time Ford truck owner. We bought a 2015 F250 XLT CC SB 6.2L 3.73 to replace our 2006 Nissan Titan.
Primary use will be to tow our 25 ft, 6500-ish lb. Toy Hauler to and from BBQ competitions 10-12 times a year. The rest of the time it will be used as needed around town.

Hi, just wanted to introduce myself and say thank you for all the information I have already obtained just from searching the forum. Just picked up a 1964 F100 with the 292 Y block. I am in the process of upgrading the tranny to a C4 as well as a front disc brake conversion.

Hi am StevenT living in southern Ca. between L.A. & Palm Springs right smack in the middle of the desert. And this is what I drive:
My 1931 Model A car before.
And after after my Father and I put a lot of work into it. These photo's were taken in Waupun, Wisc. where my Dad bought the car from Amos of Amos & Andy the radio show people for $200.00. It had over a hundred thousand mile on it then. Ha! and sense 1969 have put over another hundred thousand on. I know it's not a truck but wanted to show it off to someone else that loves cars & trucks.
