Anyway, WELCOME to FTE!

And yes, for the '97 Superduty, this is the correct place to post. It does, however, have more in common with the '96 f-series, so sometimes you might get more answers posting in that forum.

But we have lots of guys here in the SD forum that know far too much about '97 Superdutys, it seems
Thank you for the welcome, this looks like a great bunch of people.

Now if I can find one overly knowledgeable guy that can advise me on the parking brake (at the rear of the tranny) on my '97 SD I'll be a very happy camper!

I bought my 2005 6.0 F350 Lariat in February as a replacement for my 2003 F150. It's mostly a work truck, used for towing Jeeps to and from the dealers who have us restyle new Wranglers for them. It also sees towing duty for my '68 Mercury Cougar, which travels in an enclosed trailer when going further than a day trip.

I'm a fairly loyal Ford customer, since my daily driver is an '08 Focus.

I don't expect to be too active here, as I'll mostly read and learn.

Hello everyone.
New to these forums. I have an '06 F-250 5.4 XLT 2WD. I picked it up in September of 07 when I traded my '97 Tbird in on it.. I've been stopping by here on and off since then, never had much time to post till now. I'm also a new father as of May 26th when my daughter was born! Anyways, I've got Ford blue in my veins. My family has had ford trucks from the Model B on down. I've seen some familiar people here as I've been on the TCCoA and Modular Depot forums for a while. Acutally if anyone remembers back this far, I started on TCCoA when it was ThunderCats! Well just thought I'd say hi before I start posting.

I have been around here for a while. I forget when I joined, last summer I think. I haven't been too active in the past couple months. I am not a Ford owner... yet. My truck now is a 2003 Silverado z71. Looking for a low-mile (<30k, preferably <20k) 06-07 350 drw king ranch copper/pueblo gold 6.0L fx4. I spent a year driving an 05 350 drw hauling cars around the country so I think I got a little spoiled over my chev. Nothing beats a diesel!

Hello all. I am the new owner of a F350 that was built by harold hannemann (grandpa) and it was featured on the cover of off road mag two summers ago. anyway i love this truck and am excited to finally own it. but it has been having issues with the banks 6 gun tuner that is on it. so i am coming to you guys for help.

specs. F350 2003. banks 6 gun with speed loader, banks exhaust. the rest is pretty much stock.

anyway the banks was not working at all. so i reinspected all connections and got on the horn with banks customer support. They walked me thru a system rest and all seemed to be working fine. it woke the truck right up.

yesterday i was towing a 69 charger on a flat bed, i had the banks on levl 2 and cruse set at 65. when i was going up hill the boost guage would read almost 34 lbs and my check engine light came on.

and that is where i am now. just trying to get rid of all the bugs...

anyway i am glad to be a new member here.

2006 F-250 powerstroke airbag light issues

Hi everyone! I have a 2006 F-250 Powerstroke 4x4 XLT and my airbag light is staying on. When the key is in the on position it flashes twice then pauses the flashes twice again and pauses then it starts to speed up and stays on. My crusie control doesn't work and when im driving at night the lights on the steering wheel flicker or sometimes wont stay on. Also, when I lock it now once with the remote the horn wont honk. Oh and sometimes my horn works and other times it won't Can anyone help me. My abs light stays on too and I have taken it to get cleared but it comes back on.

Hello!

I am in the process of purchasing a 2004 Ford Excursion Limited 4x4 6.0Liter Diesel and have been reading this forum for a few weeks now, but glad to finally be a member!

I will post pictures of the new beast as soon as I get her home.

Thanks!

New here and New Owner

Hey all,

Just wanted to give a shout out. I have been a Ford Enthusiast for some time. My first truck was a 69 Twin I-beam. Also had a 85 F250 XLT Lariat.

My latest is a 99, XLT, SC, SWB, 4x, V10, automatic. Just picked it up and will have a lot of questions I'm sure. This engine is new to me. Looking forward to your advice.

Peace,

James, aka maxexn

I'm actually signing the papers on my new to me F250 tomorrow. Thought I'd drop in for advice or suggestions. The truck is a 2003 F250 Lariat Crew LWB w/5.4L auto. I'm a little worried about the miles on the truck but other than that I love it already and only drove it a day. It's showing 198K on it but everything is spotless on the engine and the rest of the drivetrain! No leaks anywhere that I could find and it's smooth as silk! The tranny shifts great at partial or WOT. The engine doesn't smoke a bit and makes no noise what so ever. Like I said any thought or suggestions are welcome!
