recall list requirements?

Ive got a customer with a 05 f250 superduty/6.0
did not make the recall list, what do I do to get
this problem recitified?

It definately has the all the recall symptons as noted in NHTSA is 05v270000.
But once the dealer ran the vin, he was through with the customer, they could
keep the auto for a couple of days and find the problem. Same problem has been
persistant for the past year.

Thanks

I got my new to me 05 F250 CC FX4 V10 last week and I wanted to thank the peeps here who helped me decide on the purchase. The guy I bought it from pretty much left it parked for the last year. Only 20500 miles and the engine showed a little over 500 hours. No dents or scratches.

new user eager to learn

Hi all,
Great site wow! As Rich below stated, "I probably won't be contributing too much in the way of technical knowledge, but I sure will be using all of yours!!!" and very much appreciated!

I'm new to diesel's and not very mechanical but I do research and I'm not afraid to ask questions.

I purchased a 2003 f350 super duty with a 6.0. I basically want to learn how to take care of it correctly and get the most out her (yes she's a girl, my new baby)

I do a lot of plowing and have a 2 yd polly salter hooked but was a little disappointed in the power when loaded, which led me here. It was suggested I look into tuners (which i hear are great and easy but I know nothing about) I'm also interested in an oasis report. I'm the second owner. The 1st owner bought and sold back to the same dealer so they have the complete history which they wouldn't give me..? I would also like to find a trusted mechanic in my area that I can build a relationship with. whew~ anyway enough for my 1st post. and Thanks for your time

Hello everybody... Recently upgraded from a F-150 to a 2008 F-250 Crew 4x4 6.4L Diesel. Going to use it to tow my Jeep Wranger to wheeling spots. Also looking at campers to take the fam camping.

Just recently the truck was acting up and by posting on here i was able to figure out that probably my ficm was going bad. Replaced it all is good now.

Replacing Ball joints (upper and lower)

Hey I'm a newbie and thinking about tackling the upper and lower ball joints on my 2001 f250 v10 crew cab lariat 4wd and wondered if it is relatively easy yet time consuming?

Are MOOG parts any good or are you just paying for the name? Talking ball joints on this one.

Hello from Palmdale Ca. Just got my first new vehicle ever, a 2008 F-250 Crew Cab, 4X2, 6.4L, dark blue. We picked her up on Tuesday night. One of the best things about this truck is my wife loves it. I was walking off the lot, ready to call it a night and she stopped me and said "why are we going home without that truck?" So we went back in and made a deal. I love this truck, looking forward to learning more about it here. We got it for towing, right now we just tow a Saturday night racer to the track but we'd like to get a travel trailer someday too. Only have on blurry cell phone pic of the truck so I won't post that. They're ALL beautiful anyway so what's the point!
Man I love this truck!

Hey all, 1st post ever... anywhere! So I'm really excited about this site and hope you all have the answers to my questions, 'cause' I certainly don't! So a year or two ago I bought a '00 F-250SD XLT CC SB 4x4 and love it! So I wheel'd the crap out of it and now, despite it's overall state of disrepair I want to rebuild the thing. ...It'll be bigger, It'll be better, It'll be my Blue Collar Beauty!!!!

Well look for me in the performance threads as I have recently purchased a set of 203cc injectors and plan on building around those with a 500hp goal!

Thank you in advance, I look forward to your comments and suggestions!

Hi all, new to the forums. Never owned a Ford truck, but I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on a F250 soon. Looking forward to absorbing as much knowledge as possible before deciding what year and features to get. Thanks in advance for all the great info I'm sure to get here!

Hello all
Going to pickup a 2005 F-250 next week and plan on adding quite a bit of stuff to it. Found these forums pretty much right away when i started researching the truck

Here are a few pics of my new toy.

I am pretty hard on my trucks so will be adding a fair bit to it. Would like a little more lift, better rubber, flowmaster exhaust, some headers, snorkel (I love the deep water :P ) maybe a supercharger, skidplate, winch, bumper..and lots more.

So i will be lurking and occasionally picking your brain as i am way out of the loop on stuff that is good or bad in the aftermarket scene.

Looks like a great community and i look forward to being part of it
