I am glad to have found such a useful place to find out what I really don't know. I have had my 2000 crewcab diesel for 3 years now, and have had tons of fun fixing it. Now the mods come in, that's why I come to you knowledgeable Ford men!

New to me 99

I carry a fairly light truck camper and tow a small trailer out here in the mountains and the 4.6L F150 wasn't going to cut it, Found a nice 1 owner stock 250 with the 7.3. Never had a diesel before

Looking to buy an 08 250 with the 6.4L and was wondering if there are any known problems that i should be aware of? I can't wait to get this truck but I cant find much info/history of the 6.4 or drivetrain. Thanks in advance for any info!

Brandy new to this thread stuff. Just finally got a '99 F350 V10 extended cab 4x4 with 8ft bed and service cap. Plan to get organized enough to get things done around here. Had a '96 F250 that I adored for years. Old habits die hard. Feels good be back behind the wheel.

Hi All, a new member to your forum. I've been driving the hell out of ford pick ups, in mountains of colorado for a long time. I was researching half tons for wife when, I found forum. That new 09 f150 is one heck of a truck, I think it stacks up better than any of the competition. I drive f350, its a 7.3, with home made 4'' exhaust, afe intake, and super chip, the truck works really well for me. I look foward to all the forum has to offer and hope I can contribute once in a while. Thanks

Talking

Yo, yo! I'm a new member here, but not a new owner...yet. I'm looking at a used 21/2 xl. Still debating and trying to figure out why it's so cheap! Anywho, hello all.

My love is a 99 F250 CC Lariat 4x4 V10, 6 inch skyjacker susp. lift 35 Procomps, dual tv's! I've had her for years and she's never done me wrong! I look forward to fixin' her up a little more, so I'll be chatting with ya'll!

Was lookin for a question and found this site, So I'll be stickin around for awhile. Own a 08 F-250 SCab 4x4 6.4 Desiel with 20k on it and just love the power and no problems yet.
Been a ford man for quite some time in fact still own my 84 f-150 which I bought new that has over 360k on it and for the last 15 or so years all shes done is plow snow, not really road worthy now, just plow off the yard.

Any way got my question anwsered.

Oasis

Hey Krewat,

Newbie here.

Just bought an 03 Excursion 6.0L Eddie Bauer with 69,000 mile and a 4" lift and 37's on Moto Metal wheels. Flew down from Sacto to SD to buy it and drove it home. It's quite impressive as it stands tall. I'm totally psyched about this truck. It is a badboy! Love the diesel which I've never had before and I'm just searching for stuff on how to maintain this thing and take car of it... Love the site.
I would love to get an Oasis on it to know all I can know.
I suddenly think it may have been repainted and it has no name badges on the front fenders? odd? Hmmmmm.

So that's really got me wondering about it's history. The carfax is clean but i'm wondering what might come up in the Oasis.
Email is stevenwking AT frontiernet.net

Any tips on where to start would be appreciated.
Thanks for all you do.
Steve

Welcome aboard everyone!

Just a reminder of a few things that you might find peculiar and some things that will help if you have any questions.

Fill in your location in your user profile (User CP in the upper left of the page). It helps to know where you're from sometimes. It doesn't have to be GPS coordinates, but a general location helps a lot when we get questions about sudden fuel mileage changes, heater questions, you name it

You need 25 posts before you can create a signature, post attachments, and maybe a few other things.

Every once in a while we get the question "How come it's like that here, but not on other sites?". Well, it's worked out well in the past to deal with spammers, trolls, and other various issues.

All you need to do is join in on the conversation in the General Non-Automotive forum, General Automotive forum, your engine's forum, the Superduty forum, or wherever you may have an opinion, a question, or just want to say hi

25 posts comes up quick, and it's worth joining in the conversation.

Again, welcome!
