Help with a 2000 F150 5.4 triton motor
Hi I am Julie and I came across this "great deal" to buy a 2000 F150 4x4 with a 5.4 triton engine for my daughters 16th b-day next month, I was told it just needed a tune up and when we drained the oil for a change it drained out 14 quarts! I am no mechanic, so can you give me an idea of how bad this really is? Please be honest with me, I think I am in big trouble here
Finally saying hi!
Hey guys. Been browsing for awhile. I've had my truck for a little over a year now. Took awhile to find it and probably paid a little more but it's been great and has made me plenty of money so far.
2003 f350 7.3L ZF6 Lariat. One owner. Bought it with 250k miles. Mostly freeway as the owner was a fire Capt that certified ladder trucks all over California.
Bed was untouched. Only a standard tow hitch.
I added a turnover b&w ball and companion 5th wheel.
Just bought OEM Ford v code front springs to ditch the leveling springs.
Cracked both my front dually wheels somehow so now I have the outer rears on the front and just steels in back.
Did a Southbend clutch and new OEM Ford hydraulics.
Banks power outlet. 4inch exh. Hydra tuner. AIS intake.
Looking to do 2008+ mirrors. I like my 02-04 headlights and 99-04 grill.

Hi,
I've been lurking for awhile and figured it's time I joined the site. I got a 1973 F250 Camper Special about 10 months ago. The truck isn't in the best of shape, but runs good. I've been repairing things that aren't working and removing random wires remaining from previous owners. I've found the '73-79 forum to be very useful as I look for information on this truck, whether it's trouble shooting, finding replacement parts, or looking for pictures.

Long time lurker :)
Hello all, long time lurker from Nevada. First of all I want to thank everyone on this site for the wealth of information that is available. Once I figure things out, I will post some pics on my clutch job I am currently doing. 10 years ago I had to replace the clutch and transmission (ZF6) due to the infamous Ford pilot bearing disintegration. I now have the comparison for a Brand new South Bend Kevlar bushing and the 10 year old one for anyone who is curious about it. Hopefully that post will repay a little back for that info I have gotten from this wonderful site.
ongoing project so far

New here!!
My name is Jeff, I just recently bought my first diesel. It is a beautiful 2008 F-250 6.4L Super Duty. I am absolutely in love!! I wanted to just let people know I am here and have no idea what i am doing with my truck. Within 2 days of owning my truck someone broke in and stole my Banks IQ monitor. What a welcome. Any tips on acquiring a cheap replacment please Lmk.
