NEW MEMBER Introduction Thread (NO TECH QUESTIONS)
I just joined, been a FORMOCO truck guy all my life, from the 65 Ranchero that my family bough when I was a wee lad to the 2011 F-250 I just acquired when my 2005 F-150 died.
The 250 is a replacement/upgrade for my F-150 which I had done up as a combination Disaster Response/Storm Spotter/Crazy Zombie Apocalypse Art Project vehicle.
Except is it an art project when everything works?
In any case, "The Bubba Truck" as it is known has its own Facebook page with all of the info and pictures, which can be found at www.bubbatruck.org
Thanks!

Hey Everyone,
Proud new owner of a 2000 F450 Standard Cab 4x4 DRW 7.3 with a dump bed. It’s got about 205,000 on it and seems to be in great shape.
My my first car at 16 was a 4 cylinder Ranger and this is definitely a different animal.
Its got an Edge unit with the buttons on the left side, I’ve just been running it at level 1.
The transmission has been rebuilt twice by the PO, most recently within 1,000 miles.
Current issues I’m working on are noisy front hubs when locked (manual locks) and a stuck dump bed that I suspect is due to a dead aux battery but the battery sits under the bed so I have to figure out how to get the thing up to look at it.
Look forward to the knowledge here.

Little intro
Worked on plenty of diesels from semis to HD trucks. Here in the next week I'm going to be buying a 92 F350 Dually with a 7.3 IDI NA diesel. Will be my first desiel I will be owning besides working on them for a company. Seller says she needs head gaskets. Going to check it out tomorrow morning see where the mixture is ending up. For 600 I dont mind if I have to change the head gaskets. However havent worked on many 7.3's and none to this extent. Anybody have any advice? Plan on taking engine and trans out of the truck before tearing down.

Hi there, new here from UK.
Haven't bought my truck yet, but a 99-03 Regular Cab 7.3 Diesel 4x4 is on my shopping list at the moment.
Always liked Ford truck since when I started driving back in the 90's. But unfortunately not many option here in UK... mainly boring European stuff. So will end up importing one!
Cath up soon!

Hello All,
I’m Taylor, 30, from Littleton, CO. Native to the state, grew up playing baseball and football. I’m a firefighter/emt (soon to be firefighter/paramedic) here in the Denver metro area. My daily diver is a 2014 F250 FX4, super cab long bed. Bought in 04/2016 with 82,220 on the ticker. Currently has 103,570 or so on it. I also own another Ford, a 1970 Torino GT with 98k original miles on it. It’s a 351c 2v car with a 4 spd, buckets, no power accessories besides brakes, and an open 3.0 gear 9”. She’s a work in progress...getting a big heart transplant per se. My girlfriend and I have been living in sin for three years now, just bought a house last June. Garage is too short for the truck to fit in....dammit! Hobbies include drag racing, fishing, building up the Torino, skiing, and watching college football...GBR! Joining here to contribute what little knowledge I have of these trucks after wrenching on quite a few of them, but more so for learning everything I can from you guys. Not just “how big of tires can I run with no lift” or “what oil do you guys use”. More in depth knowledge, so I am able to fix and modify my truck without paying anyone else to do it for me. That’s it for now so I am not long winded. Want to know anything, feel free to ask.
Cheers!

Forgot my old log in
Well, I look like a newb again. I was a long time lurker and a few time poster in the 73-79 forum, as well as this one, unfortunately, I forgot my username and login. I have a 1975 Highboy that my dad purchased new, I've had a 97, 01, 06 diesels and now have a 16 F350, and we recently bought a project 51 F1 for my wife as a retirement gift for retiring from the army. Probably time to get much more acquainted on here!
Howdy from Washington State.
I currently have an '03 F150 that's been a champ of a work truck for me.
I have lurked these forums for about 3 years to devour information about Super Duties. I will be upsizing to a 6.2 F250 for the beefy suspension and brakes. I never have less than 500 lbs on my truck and I think a super duty is going to hold up to the abuse better over the long haul!
Lastly I want to thank all the contributing members around here who have compiled EXTREMELY useful information about everything from the buying and ordering process to technical model-specific problems and solutions. I never created an account because every question I thought of had already been asked and answered somewhere. Thanks!!

Hello all,
Orignially came here for some info on an ‘81 F100, then moved on to a ‘97 F350 and now on to my 2014 F250. Thank you for all the information you have allowed me to steal / borrow over the years. Have to get an up to date pic of the 2014 with the lift and 37’s. Thanks and stay safe.

Hi,
Have you heard good things about the 6.2L diesel engine? I have looked and drove a few, as I have been looking at them as well. I have been scared off by some of the BAD reports, told that 6.7L is a much better engine. Friend had 6.7L F250, did lots of towing with large gooseneck trailer Wi to TN. Looked at 6.2L engine parts cost, seemed quite high prices as well.
Anyway, best of success with whatever trusk you get,
