Smile First Ford F250SD ...greetings!

Bought a used F250 as a Hooptie! (won't use for daily driver till I repair worn front end parts...steering and clunking noises)
Needs TLC and I will much appreciate any links, recommended parts vendors and tips on repair!
-have to rebuild front end (ball joints, tie rods, links, seals, brakes)
-cosmetics (aka rust) like body work, replace bed with take-off from another, ...

Glad to be a part of FTE!

New here and just bought a 2013 F250 SCab XLT gasser for a tow vehicle. It is bi-fuel with a 23gal CNG tank. The CNG works well and I get about the same mileage. The only issue is the factory nerf mounts are corroded and it has spread some surface corrosion to the body seam. Looking forward to a trip with the TT to Moab and the Grand Canyon in September.

Spray Rustoleum rust reformer over the corroded sections, especially if they are where you can't see them. It very effectively stops rust - you may have to go over it again the next day because the rust seems to soak the stuff up like a sponge (Think of it like painting a house that hasn't been painted in 20 years). it's also recommended to cover the sections you hit with rust reformer with regular paint (I used spray paint) after you give it a day to dry completely to protect the rust reformer (It isn't actually paint although it's sold in the spray paint section). It's better to have a few sections of black or mismatched paint on your truck than a few sections where there used to be metal.

Recently purchased a 17 F350 long bed 4x4 lariat in Racing Red.
My first Ford after 6 Chevys. Got a lemon from them and they wouldn't do anything about it so told them what to do with themselves.
Love the truck and it tows like a dream.

Hello,
I just signed up to this site as I've just purchased a 1940 Ford COE which had previously been restored. I'm looking forward to meeting some fellow members with similar interests and look forward to your advise and resources. This is my first antique vehicle so I'm sure to have a lot of questions.

Many Thanks,

Howard

New to me F250 SuperDuty

2007 F250 6.0L SuperCab FX4 - Build Date 10/06, Color LD/Z3 currently 73K on the clock.
Not new to the forum as I have a 1991 F250 5.8L but just jumped right into the diesel deep end with this 6.0L largely because of VALUE and the 5.8L struggling to pull my RV. (think I solve that problem)
Truck is in the mid-Atlantic and was former 1-Owner NJ truck paid 18K

I have a 2000 F-350 single wheel crew cab long wheel base 7.3L close to 272xxx miles has been a work horse with just the usual sensor problems IPR, CPS, Map sensor, range sensor, torque bolts on the steering coupling, outside of that it has been a dependable, great truck!
I have had it a very long time and plan on keeping it till it dies or I die.
