Hi, my name's Mason. I live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest in SW Washington. For fun a lot of the time i work, I'm a Quality Tech for a plastics manufacturer and do side work from house maintenance to falling trees, to roofing. Im not quite at the point in my working career where i can afford a newer vehicle so I picked up an older ford pickup as a work vehicle that I knew needed some work. I just stumbled upon this site. I've got an '85 f-150 4x4 300 I6 short bed reg cab that I've been trying to get running with the help of the internet and after finding this I found answers to thingvs I've been looking for for months. Excited to start posting.
Howdy everyone, I'm Bill.
Nothing like being an old man and finally getting to play with an old truck. Better yet, my wife loves the truck as well. Bought a 1973 F-100, 86,000 original miles, factory AC (not the under dash add on), power steering and (removed) radio.
Looking forward to making it my hot rod.

Hello from Georgia
Hello all,
I'm Les and I live 40 minutes outside of Atlanta. I have been a automotive enthusiast all of my life, and a truck enthusiast for the last few years. Like many of you I am sure, I always wanted a pickup truck, they are just so useful, and sometimes nothing else will do. I wanted a pickup, but was also looking for a classic vehicle.
Two weeks ago I bought a short wheelbase 1969 F100 Styleside that has been in the same family since it was purchased new at Mathiston Motor Company in Mathiston, MS on March 14, 1969. It was handed down through 3 generations, from father, to son, to granddaughter. It has 97K miles and everything on the truck is original, even has the original owners manual and warranty cards that were issued to the new owner at the dealership. So far, no buyers remorse with this one.
The truck is Harbor Blue with the Standard Cab interior, 240 c.i. 6 cyl. and three on the tree. My first goal is to get it on the road again, as it had been mostly sitting in a garage for quite some time, only being driven around the neighborhood a couple of times a year. Anyway, lot's of items to go through, but first the brakes which are pretty much non-existent. The body is in good condition, with surface rust, but no rot. My ultimate goal is to do a resto-mod, but that will come with time.
Attached are a few pictures of my new favorite pickup truck.

New Truck - 2015 F350 4x4 XLT
After 15 great years, I finally traded in my old faithful F150 Lariat Supercab with 117K miles on her and a rebuilt trans. I needed more carrying and pulling power for my new travel trailer. That said, I really like this new to me truck, but am still learning what it's all about. My lord, 6 speed transmission? Tow/haul? Wow. Anyhow, it's a nice looking rig with 40k miles on it. If anyone has any advice, I'd be grateful to hear it, otherwise, I will hang around and soak up whatever I can. Thanks. Motor easy. Al

Hello, my name is Eric I have been lurking for years. I have a 1996 f-150 2 wheel drive that I had completely restorded. I had a 300I6 auto, with 308 rear on 33 inch tires I restorded completely to 100% original. It was totaled out right after I got done. Frame broke in 3 spots.
2 years later I found another perfect f-150 for me, well I say perfect but come to find out it's a Frankenstein truck. It's a 1994 extended cab XLT. 5.0, auto and 3.55 8.8 rear.
I have been looking for years for advice . I have decided to join to give help where I can and get help. I will be happy to share my experience with my truck and my build.

Help!
I own an older 1989 F350 RV.It has a 460. I have replaced both fuel pumps, new coil, that transfer thing by the distributer. new water pump, hoses, belts, tires muffler water, main seals(front and back),rebuilt transmission, brakes tune up and the list goes on. My problem is it stalls when it's very hot outside leaving me and my angry wife stranded until it cools down,(not overheating), ten minutes later it runs again. When it's cool outside it runs like a bat out of hell but as soon as the outside temp gets above 90, I'm stranded again. As you can see, I've spent alot of time and money and don't want to get another RV because I know what's good because I've replaced virtually everything I could to solve this problem. I have a friend that says I should bypass the fuel reservoir to send the fuel back to the main tank instead of circulating around the manifold to the resevoir and back it would end up in the main tank where the fuel is cooler. He thinks it's vapor lock because of excessive heat. Does anybody else have this problem and if so, did you solve it or did you sell it?
Hi there, Ruben here from South Texas, about to purchase a 1988 Ranger, 5spd, 6cyl today. New to these forums and wanted to say hello! I found her on CL for $800. I dont think anything apart from the engine and lights etc, the basic stuff works BUT she has decent tires and is a stick shift 6cyl which is what i wanted. Gonna do a complete fluid change, new spark plugs and belts, maybe a grill. Will post later today once I buy her!! Wish me luck.
Hi All,
I'm new to the forums and wanted to introduce myself - I'm Amy from Western NY. I just traded in my 2013 F150 XLT 5.0 V8 SuperCab for a 2015 F250 XLT 6.2 V8 SuperCab. I loved my 150, but my axles were very close to being completely overloaded when hauling my 2-horse bumper pull. Found a great deal on the two-fiddy, and I've already completed my first project on her - replacing the broken plastic running boards with new stainless nerf bars. Looking forward to many miles with her!
The day I brought her home
New nerf bars installed

Been a lurker for many years. Just signed up though today. Have been a lifelong Ford guy as is all the men in my family. Signed up because I’m looking to purchase a ‘78 F250 custom stepside for my son who will be driving next year 😳. Manual with a standard cab so good for a teen in my opinion.
