Introduction
Hey Guys. I'm new to the site and looking forward to learning a lot.
I admired my father-in-laws black 1977 F100 Ranger SB for years. After coming into contact with a deer one morning on the way to work, he decided he'd hand her off to me. It ran (barely) well enough to get it home but for 10+ years, it's been pulled and pushed around in the driveway to get it out of the way.
Now that the kids are old enough not to take all of my time, it's time to go to work on her. I'm hoping to do a full "restoration" as my father-in-law was never very particular about making his fixes look nice or even be permanent. (Dryer hose vent, and coat hangers!)
So I'm here to learn. I'm thinking that I'll start with brakes. I want to be able to stop when I eventually get moving.
1. Brakes
2. Fuel system
3. Engine
4. Electrical
5. Suspension/Frame
6. Interior
7. Body/Glass
8. Enjoy
Suggestions? I don't have much mechanical experience, but I think I'm a fairly good learner.
Thanks for reading.

Hello FTE members! Jerry with a G. I live between Lansing and Jackson, in Michigan.
Long time Ford lover, my grandfather retired from Ford. I currently have a 2001 F150, 4.6, 4x4 and my wife has a 2012 F250, 6.7, crew cab 4x4, woof!! Long time listener, first-time caller. I'll be asking for some help as I replace the motor in my 01. So bear with me. I'm a do it yourself type of person unless it is beyond my knowledge base.

Hello -
I haven't had a Ford since my first truck (a '77) but fell in love with the new '17 Super Duty... ended up with a 2017 XLT with crew cab, short bed, 4x4, FX4, and a 6.2 (still not sold on a diesel yet). Have been lurking on the forum for a month or two and am looking forward to learning more and contributing where I can.
