New Ford fan

Been a 20 yr Sierra/Silverado driver. after 378000 miles its time to get a newer one. But on researching I find that GM is still covering up the airbag issue and ALL their airbags are defective. Learned that Ford does not have airbag issues so I am hunting and so far I see that Ford are awesome.

Introduction

Hi Everyone, I am new to this so please excuse me if i make a mistake during the learning process. I would like to thank FTE for offering a place to search for real information beyond the crap Ive been getting from my local dealership.
I own a non working 2008 f250 superduty 6.4 thanks to my dealerships quicklane who only added 9 quarts of oil during my last oil change. The engine appears to have a cracked crankshaft or bearings or both. My working farm truck is a 1995 f250 7.3. I became aware of this website while searching for information on my previous 2011 f150 eco boost which had the engine self destruct at 50k.
I look forward to posting. Many thanks for now
Maddog

Hello all,
My name is Damen, currently living in Saskatchewan, Canada. My wife and I purchased an '84 e150 van with a 351W. It is in reasonable shape but hasn't been driven regularly for at least a few years, possibly more. There are issues that need to be dealt with but i think and hope it will serve us well for our purposes without needing too much time and attention. I look forward to working on it and getting it running solidly and my wife looks forward to having a comfortable, reasonably reliable van! Thanks in advance for all the help of the forum, existing and future posts, awesome to have a resource like this to help guys like me keep these rigs on the road!

Robert

I have been around this sight for several years just now joined. I have no idea what tool me so long to join sorry. I've got a 2006 F250 6.0 with 290K+. 90% of my questions and concerns have been answered just by reading but I've decided to dive in deeper and discuss as well.

Thanks AGAIN
Robert

Jason,

It's not an "FE" series engine, it's a '335' series...

It's not a "400M", just a "Ford 400"... although the 351M is part of the 335 series... the 351M is a Modification of the 400...

And I see you found your way to the 335 series engine forum OK... just didn't want you confusing anyone while asking for parts...

Please check back in with the 335 forum... several have made suggestions to you...

New truck smell

Hello every one. I am very new here, as I have checked the site out many times, but never posted. I am new to the Ford game. I have always been a mopar guy, and I still love the old stuff 74 and older. but with the new stuff, i have been chased away by bad customer service and bad automobiles. My last truck was a megga cab and it fell apart around the cummins. Great motor. Only had 160000 miles on it. but everything just fell apart. I am concerned about the 6.7, but after all I have been through with Dodge, I needed to get away from them. They lost a good customer. We purchased a Taurus in 14 after owning a new 13 Dart. It was nothing but a POS. Dodge would not step up and fix the car. So I tell my story at every Mopar show I go too.

Question Happy Ford owner looking to upgrade.

Hi, I'm brand new to the forum. I have a pristine '99F350XLT SD 4WD Crewcab SRW. It's a V10, and while I love the truck, it's got a lot of miles on it.
I'm considering retiring soon and don't know anything about the diesels. I currently have been towing a 27' boat and now my wife and I are looking at 5th wheels.
I hear all sorts of stories from people getting fantastic mileage when towing with diesels, but I've only heard a few people tell me they get around 15-17mpg.
I've been looking at 2015-2016 F350 SDs but don't really know what I'm looking at.
Help!
Thanks

My name is Melissa Bright . I have a son that is having a problem with his 1997 Ford Explorer, he has replaced the wheel bearing and seals on front but one side keeps losing the grease and getting hot. What does he need to do?

hello everyone!

Hey everyone, new here and I'm 19. My ford is a 1992 f350 cclb 4x4, zf5, 7.3 idi, 304,000 miles. I'm completely redoing the drive train(to include a cummins), and recently started the project at the rear axle. So I'm gonna be starting a build thread to share with everyone the transformation of the truck over the next few months. I hope you guys enjoy it!
