New to owning a F250 & this forum

Hey everyone Ford has converted another Dodge owner to a Ford! I had a 2004 Dodge 3500 and I just bought a 2017 F250 Lariat. I love it so far!

I own a 99 F250 6.8L V10 Triton - ODO 162,323

I've been lurking for about 2 years now. I have very little experience working with Fords/ heavy duty trucks so I've been soaking it up, trying to learn everything I can.

MOST MEMORABLE:

Cylinder #10 blew out last Nov (one of the scariest moments of my life) and I can hear another one about to go soon.

I experienced the infamous "death wobble" last month after replacing the spent oem sway bar links with more rubber oem links only to have both pop off at the same time at about 75mph (moral #1 don't buy the last 18yr old parts the dealer has laying around. moral#2 always upgrade)

Other than that, growing up with everything Chevy, I never thought I'd say it but, I absolutely love this Ford truck

Excited to be here,
THANKS!

Good morning boys, girls and sports fans! Another newbie here catching up on the goings on in the 6 litre diesel world. I'm retired and a mechanic by trade so instead of buying a late model with all the warranty I searched online and found a auction site with a couple trucks that I bid on and am the proud new owner of! First one is an '06 f250 lariat cc sb 4x4 that some younger guy has owned and from the pictures looks to be about about 6 feet in the air with 35's on it but oddometer says 135k miles?? Looks like it has a million! Second one looks in very good condition with a couple minor dings and dents, and of course needs seat repairs. It's an '06 also xlt 4x4 sb sc with 350k miles. I won't get them home for about a month so I'm catching up on the fixes that I'll be looking at.

Hi everybody , I am new here and I have already signed up and look forward to all the info that gets posted on here. I really like this site and the member's kindness. My truck is a 99 Ford F250 super duty with a V10. I have already put new ball joints and hubs and brakes and manifolds and coils in my truck with a HHO kit . I really like my truck very well. I have been a Photographer for around 30 years and do a lot of drag racing photos and videos which I post on facebook for free to the racer's and their family's. I hope that you all will accept me as I am an older man.
