Workhorse Module
I have a friend who just recentely purchased an 05, 6.0L. He is new to diesels and the 6.0. He's looking for better fuel economy so I recommended the SCT with custom tunes. He was told by another guy about the Workhorse module and gave me this link. Anybody have any experience with the product? I have a Phalanx coming from Spartan so I'm researching it for him. Thanks

Modules do not have a good history with the 6.0s. I wouldn't use it at all. Shift on the fly sounds like a nice novel idea, but once you get over the newness factor of it and you get in the habit of having it on one setting(unless you get a wild hair from time to time) most of the time. I wouldn't even bother with it, more for the former then the later reason. Gauges I would say should be used rather or not you tune your truck. After the variances that I see between the stock gauges and the a/m ones, there is no way I would trust stock gauges(which I don't even know why the even bother have stock gauges when they are basically crap to begin with, anyone know that one?).
