I seen that this morning, first thing I checked out was the tailgate, mine has a scraped paint patch off of it, this box looks like it needs some repair!

I seen that earlier today too, decent enough looking box, and cheap, if anyone needs one for a 80-86!

Too bad the picture isn`t great, the price seems good but can`t tell if it`s rusty or not.

I could try a newer box if the price is cheap & close enough and the box is rust/dent free. I see there is a $100 one at Birsay, Sask on Kijiji Saskatoon/ shortbox from a 1998 Ford Ranger - Saskatoon Car Parts For Sale - Kijiji Saskatoon
While I don`t know how it would look with out checking into it first I think it shouldn`t be too bad, better that fixing mine though it isn`t rusted out real bad.

I was contemplating heading down to birsay to check out that shortbox for the 89 shortbox project.

Has a really mean dent on the drivers side up near the top, and I just dont know if it could be fixed, but I do have a few boxes that I could maybe use to make a few good ones.

I have three boxes right now, that all need a little bit of repair here and there.

If you do head up that way let me know ahead of time so I can decide as for $100 this box maybe well worth it.

Will do for sure.

Im sure you could make it work, I would be worried about the curves of the newer ones, as they are a little more curvy, are they not?

I too would guess that the newer Rangers have a different set of body lines but as long as it`s not too far out I`d be ok with it.
It`s surprising how some people seem to fail to notice things like that.............
