From a small town about 45min SE of Charlotte, NC. We have Baucom's grocery. A convenince store/gas station where we can just leave our trucks running while we run in to grab a slushie or a candy bar. Then there's Oakboro. about twenty min from my house. Every 4th friday there's a cruise in followed by a burnout. As well as the regular truck/tractor pulls.
I live in a small town country area of Idaho. Don't live on a farm but sure wish I did. I work on one every chance I get though. A lot of the farm land here is getting bought up for developments that never get finished. They get 4 or 5 houses built, some of them get roads paved in them, then they go bankrupt. What a waste of land. There's 1 stop light in the whole county, in the main town, then there are 2 other "big towns" along with others that are on the map but you can't find when your out looking for 'em. Only about 5000 people in the whole county. Can cross it on the highway in about 45 minutes, about 20 on the backroads.
54 kids in my high school if that says anything 6 Man football. and main street is a perfect 1/4 mile. Dad works for feedlot and is a dryland wheat farmer
Born and raised in northern mn, lived on the farm my whole life, there isnt a town within 50 miles of me that has a population of over 1500. Two nearest towns from where i am at are, 210 and 96. I moved away for awhile to the big city and couldnt stand it. I would go for drives at night just to see the stars in the sky. I love the peace and quiet, and best of all the 2600 acres of Solitude!
It may sound a little off coming from a person being out of new jersey but I live in a very small town and about 90% of it is fields that are all owned by the same person. Not to mention whichever way you decide to go its just more fields then the intertate and a TA.
I live on an island, in the woods. 10 min from the main town, and about 60 minutes and a ferry ride to downtown Seattle. It's great. really quiet, and there are no emissions regulations.
