Temporary Suspension of Customer Satisfaction Program 08B07...
Today (10/24) CSP 08B07 was officially suspended due to problems flashing the TCM on some trucks... Those who have already had the flash completed should be OK...

There should be no need to be nervous. Had there been a true problem, you would not have been able to leave the dealer as the TCM would have been dead. Basically the flash either takes or kills the TCM. In your case it was OK...

Thanks, that answered my next question. I was going to ask if the transmission problem showed up immediately or would it take a few miles to show up. I have only driven about 40 or 50 miles since the flash. I'm looking forward to my trip Sunday to see my little granddaughter and just about as excited about filling up in Wytheville, VA for $3.10 per gallon going and coming! I even thought about taking 3 or 4 5gal. jugs to fill up.

My Flash didn't fare as well as what I am reading here.
We have a 450 cab & chassis with a 14' flat bed, ( auto & 4.88 gears) used to pull our flat bed trailers almost exclusively. From the first day it was great, great power and handling. The fuel mileage was not so hot...in the low to mid 7's. Local Dealer came to us with the flash that had been used on several other customers trucks. Even though I was skepitical, I took our highly praised new truck in for the reflash...with 8000 miles on the clock. I wish I had never done that....it has been back 3 times since...After the first reflash it would regen a dozen or more times in a 200 mile round trip...low to NO power compared to before the reflash and now mileage is 6 and lower!! Took it back to the dealer...they "messed" with it and it was a little better on the regen....but still low power and low fuel mileage. Took it back last week, dealer had it for 3-days, still low power, regen'd 6 times in 125 miles of continous interstate driving...fuel consumption has not changed "much"...
The flat beds we pull are in the 16,000 range with load, load is tall and catches a far amount of air.
This is frustrating...we also have '06 F650 with a 24' box....5.9 Cummins and Alison auto....it gets a consistant 9+ mpg.
Any ideas, anyone? Any similar problems heard of? I want my new truck back, would gladly take the 7mpg for the power & driveability. Dealer says you can not go back to original computer program...is this accurate from what is known?
thanks!
