NEW Nova Scotia Chapter Roll Call

A little late, better than never though
We put 8000 miles on the odometer. Had a look at the Rockies, the old Triton climbed the grades in overdrive like we were on a level road, not a problem until coming down, when we got to the bottom you could smell the brakes (guess things got kind of hot and stinky)
Got home to a notice that the town could sell my property for unpaid taxes. HUH! my taxes are paid on time every year since 1976. I seems the Town put in water and sewer lines (we didn't need or want) and forgot to bill us for them. Oh! well it'll all come out in the wash.

Fred I'd appreciate any help or ideas you might have as I'm now doing a project to bypass it all and still have it appear normal and uncovering some of Ford's better ideas that make absolutely no sense (extra parts not really needed).

Wow, that's an interesting read. I wonder about the relay your hearing itself.....
I also wonder, as you look along the chassis of the vehicle, if there are any signs that the looms for exposed wiring harnesses have been compromised... Either by corrosion or other damage.
Last, I wonder about checking continuity between the various sensors and the ECU. Perhaps it's possible to get a wiring diagram to help you identify the leads entering the ECU.
None of this sounds fun. My newest vehicle came off the line two months before I did.

I drive through the metropolis of new glasgow every day to get to work, and I also wonder where some of these bright ideas come from.nothing rings a bell right of the top of my head with your brake light troubles,I would say jason is on the right path with checking the wires,I believe there is a set of plugs down inside the drivers kick panel.I would check there first, easy spot for water and such to get into and cause this kind of trouble.

Well at least it's another place to check, although I don't believe there's anything much behind those panels, most of the wiring passes through the firewall just above the fuse panel. There's also one more place to check for corrosion between wires and that's on the main harness connector into the cab. (seems I had a problem like that on an old Dodge).
