First "Cold Front" of the Season....
well we got our first "cold" front today in Dallas. I'm tired of the ebpv coming on in the winter so i looked for the solenoid to unplug it. my ? is...i found a plug going into the front of the turbo pedestal right under the turbo. i flipped a latch and unplugged the plug. i just want to make sure that's the right one for the ebpv and will it be ok just hanging there until i wire up a manual switch??

LOL, mine just have to put up with this putrid fuel rich smoke cloud from hades. I no longer have a EBV, or even a WG for that matter. I also eliminated my throttle body while I was pulling things out of there.

What does eliminating the EBV do for you? Obviously no WG allows more boost, what about the throttle body - how do you just eliminate that? (sorry if these are silly questions but most of the motors I've worked on have carbs and chokes)

Sorry Ryan, I was being sarcastic with the throttle body. No PSD has one from the start. The EBV was nothing but a flow restriction for me when I went with a bigger turbo so I omitted it.

Gotcha, I was pretty sure that was the case, only reason I took the throttle body comment is a couple of friends of mine are working with John Deere to put a throttle body on one of their diesel engines (to inject ethanol as the main fuel source)
