time for new pads

It's time for new pads for my 05' and was wondering what you guys are using. I looked at the motorcraft super duty pads not standard duty and the price wasn't bad at the dealer but they said they use ford factory pads when they do brake jobs. The factory pads are almost double the motorcraft which I though were the same? The truck is used for work, pulling a 7-10k trailer almost every day so I don't want cheap pads, so far I have been happy with the originals with almost 50k on them. Advance auto has some aftermarket ones but I wasn't sure how they hold up.

Hawks are very good pads, not cheap, but proven to last by many around here.

I looked at hawk pads but couldn't find an online dealer that had them for a 05' maybe I'll try pepboys tomorrow. Also would lts or sd pads be better on f-350 if I'm hauling alot? Atleast the rotors are in really good shape so I don't have to change them.

I was told the the SD pads were for heavy heavy duty towing, all the time. I went with the LTS. They seem to be the most popular for light to moderate towing. I'll look and see if I can find where I got mine and send you the info.

I put slotted rotors on the front about a year and a half ago and I went to the local Ford dealership and bought the motorcraft severe duty super duty pads(the blue painted ones not black ones) and last week I took my front wheels off and I was really shocked and happy to see first that the rotors were wearing smooth and even. They felt like brand new seriously.
The severe duty motorcraft pads had tons of meat left on them thay really have not worn down hardly at all.
Thats real good considering that I still need to brakes on the back so the fronts are doing most all of the braking right now and for the past 1 1/2years
.All I know is that these brake pads do a real good job braking and they seem to not wear down too easily and most importantly they keep the rotors looking like new.
I've changed alot of rotors and pads on different trucks, vans and cars and this front rotor/pad combination is the best I've seen wear and they feel like they brake more solidly(better pedal response and feel) than the factory SD pads that were on from the factory.
I got the rotors on here from out of tennessee I think but don't quote me on that but I did get them from a vendor on here
Good luck
