congradulations, it looks really good. I also have a question for you, I've been looking into getting an F-350 (probably something around '87-'91) if I could find one. Id like a reg. cab with single rear wheels. My thinking is that it would come with 1 ton axles (obviously), maybe a 460 and low axle gears like around 4.10. Do you have any info on these trucks like what axles they came with and anything else or are there any drawbacks with them. thanks alot for any info.

Nick,
Thanks for the compliment, its been a great truck and its incredibly strong(power and resilience). There is another picture of it completely mudded after a race at www.buffalomilke.com(in the testomonials) the pictures were taken by a vendor at a race selling wax products.
As far as the 87-91 F350 series trucks, the only down sides are the E4OD trannies had just come out(89 I believe) and they didnt work a lot of the problems out of them untill about 94. Once they are rebuilt with all of the new improvements they are very good trannies.Maybe you can get lucky and find one with a C-6 tranny, but then you wont have overdrive.Which leads me to the next little down side, GAS MILEAGE(or lack of),the 460 which there is a good chance that it may come with,it was a common upgrade for anyone using them for heavy hauling(but it wasnt standard equiptment). The 460 is tremendousely strong and has loads of torque, they are also very durable and all in all probably the best gas motor available for a heavy truck,But they get terrible gas mileage.Dont count on more than 10 MPG and less with big tires. The axles are very good components for the F350 Sterling 10.25 in the rear, and Dana 60 up front. The Sterling is almost indestructible, and the 60 is as good as they get. The Transfer case is a Borg Warner 1356,it is reliable and has a good low range ratio 2.69:1,about the only thing to watch out for is maintaining the drive chain,it is a pretty easy T-Case to srevice yourself.Ther is also a good chance that it came with 4:10 gears, and limited slip in the rear axle,(it just depends how it was ordered). All of the periphials such as power steering,AC,etc. ahve all held up for me very well, but they are hard on brakes, and I would suggest a rear disk brake conversion,(my fronts have been holding up very well since I converted my F250 to rear discs). As far as looks, some paint jobs have held up great others are crappy,I am not sure why, mine has held up awsome, but i wax it very often. Its just my opinion, but there you have it. Later,
Jeff
