Here's A New One, I Think?

Short and sweet. Odometer stuck at 209999 and 225 on the trip. Any guesses or for sure answers?

To many miles on the truck? Think the gears might have striped out or something that controls it?

Mark dumb question is it digital or old style (don't know the name for it)

The 209999 has got to be just a coincidence.

"mechanical" would be the word you're looking for in this case

For want of a better word, let's call it an analog, or mechanical.

This I'm going to need please. I damn sure am not going to be able to do it myself either. I just don't have the tools for starters. Hopefully one of the members in the Charlotte area will volunteer to aid in exchange for a little cash or beer.

Just a silly thought. Did you try to hit the trip button? Align things up. I know, silly.
Happened to my Crapolla about a month ago. Dad was driving. He said "hey it stopped working and i wanted to see how far it was to the Napa from your house". He hit the trip and said "there you go. Working again"..

I did a "quick" search. No posts found.. Might be the first to bring it up.

Granted I'd like to keep my mileage right where its at...but how else is he supposed to track things like oil changes, fuel filter changes, etc?

Good news bad news: dam digital/analog speedometer
According to my service manual you need AE equipment to see if it is the GEM or something else like the instrument cluster. I guessing cheap repair, but long annoying diagnosis. could be a fuse or just a disconnected wire, or a short in your LIE-O-METER.

A hundred years ago, you could buy the inner cable for like 10 bucks at auto parts stores, but now-a-days I suspect you are going to have to pull the dash

I agree with Barry, wished it stuck at lower miles though.

65 pages of stupid connector checks later: Look for trouble codes and DTC's, if it is expensive it ought to have set a code.
