I was told an AOD might fit. Will an AOD or preferably older 3 speed auto without overdrive fit the transfer case and engine? If not will a buldog or other manual fit without spending a fortune in conversion parts? All the shops in my area want $2,500 to $3,500 to rebuild the E4OD and I just dont think it is worth spending that much when the E4OD is known to be a pile of scrap metal.
