Hi, I am looking for a chrome brush guard for my 97 F150 4X4 that mounts to the tow hook location but allows me to keep my tow hooks, however I am looking for something under $250. I found a few bumper mounted guards but I don't like the Idea of drilling the bumper or want to spend the Time.does anyone know where I might find this. thanx in advance.

Westin Sportsmans mount the way you want but black ones run $400+ new, you can almost double that for chrome.
A word of caution though, when you hit something with those style brush guards they cause a TON of damage:
That's $5K worth of damage from a car that turned in front of me, if the guard wasn't on I'd guess that would have been cut in half easily. But I did get a lot of upgrades I'd been wanting with that money.
All the body panels were damaged/destroyed, everything but the front fenders were replaced including the bumper and bumper mounting plates. Just the bumper, plates, valence, grille, 4 lights all come to well over $1K then you have painting and the fenders had to be straightened back out. I was able to put on a road armor bumper and an aftermarket hood with only a few hundred coming out of my pocket. OEM body pieces are incredibly expensive and LMC sells stuff for far less than that so I made the difference up there for the most part. If I would not have had the grille guard I'd guess I would have only needed a new bumper and all hardware for it.
Yes they go on fine as long as you cut one of the alignment pins off.
Damn, sorry to see that and also to dig up an old thread.
If you want a tough grille guard (one that won't do the aforementioned) stick with a Ranch Hand. It may not be pretty, but in Galaxies case, it might have saved him even a bumper (depending on fast that dude turned out in front of him).
Some chick clipped my truck and it a whole MESS of damage to her truck but only took a scrape off the powdercoat of my RH. Those things are tanks. So tanklike, that I pushed an old BMW over a curb and into a creek with it. Only damage was the top layer of powdercoat flaked off. That thing is so beastly it's hard to bend 'em.
