If oil was dinosaurs and plants and we use it in our rigs.. then wouldn't it all be recycled? Just a thought for the day.

hey, i was changing my oil and transmission fluid on my ranger one night after work and i put the pan back on and the tranny bracket under it back in and then dumped 5 quarts of valvoline 5-30 in the tranny and 5 quarts of tranny fluid in the engine

(my fault for not using ONE funnel and doing ONE oil change at a time). Lucky for me, i was doing this at a mechanics shop / parts store, so i just had to buy new fluids.

ROFL, we had a guy in our shop that was putting a reman mercedes engine and allison trans in a FL80 truck. The oil cooler and tranny cooler has the same fittings on them so when he put it all back together he had the coolers hooked up with one tranny line and one oil line in each so when they fired it up they couldn't figure out why there was tranny fluid puking from the valve cover breather of the motor hahahhahahaha

Why is it that we screw up those simple things when we work on stuff? I did a brake job and repacked the needle bearings on the front of the SD this past week. I was finishing up and putting it back together and when I got the hub back on the passenger side and was getting ready to torque the 4 bolts something didn't look right. Yup, I put the dust shield for the disc brake on backwards. Had to pull the whole sucker off and redo. That was after I had already done the driver's side and did that one right.

I was working on an atm last night inside a bank, I couldn't find the lightswitch, and tripped over a chair, I broke my key off in the lock on the ATM, I dropped a screw inside its guts, and couldn't find it for awhile, and to top it off I didn't get the alarm code right, so I had lots of visitors. (badges, red lights, and guns)

Just wasn't my night.

Cops where nice and didn't stick around long. They normally figure if I don't run I must not be a threat.
