Going to check out a new Bronco
It's a 1978 with the Free Wheeling package.
It looks just like the one in the brochure from 1978 it still has most of the original graphics
I'll try and post some pictures if I buy it, Ok when I buy it LOL.
Pictures look pretty good and price is only $1500 comes with spare NP205 transfer case and 9 inch rear end.
Cheers, Rick.

Just got back.............
The fellow selling the Bronco was so full of **** I thought I seen some spilling out his ears.
I didn't realize when he wrote in the ad never plowed with never 4x4ed that he meant it was a field truck.
The whole underside was completely rotted away, the rims and some of the glass and possibly the drive train from the transfer case back were good and the cap.
So I first offered him $500 he says he can get $600 for scrap so I say alright $600 he says no he thinks it's worth more.
Also it was not what is represented a Free Wheeling edition with the front and back bumpers black and the grill surround and side mirrors black but something some one had painted to look like the Free Wheeling edition.
All was not lost though stopped at the Casino at Gan and the 1000 island RV dealership seen my cute as button nephew who's five and got to spend the whole day with my best pal, all in all an enjoyable day minus the Bronco B.S.

Well off tomorrow to check out some more Broncos
Two more to be exact, from the pictures these two look a little more promising.
If they are not, well a nice day out with my wife and a possible meet up for coffee with a ford truck friend and his new girlfriend.
The site and chapter seem quite dead at the moment.

My Avitar, well it's like this.
I am a big fan of the 1978/1979 Big Broncos so my Avatar is always going to be a 1978 or 1979 Big Bronco, they don't have to be owned by me they just have to be different like the current one or nice or to be honest just a 1978 or 1979 Big Bronco.
If you ever own one you'll understand, they are the most fun to drive, they go anywhere in stock condition, you can use them as a convertable or hardtop
There were only about 166,000 of the 78/79,s made so my guess is probably not more than 5,000 left on the planet which makes them rare and to some priced.
But mostly they are fun and you can take friends and family and all their belongings comfortably on a trip anywhere paved or unpaved.
Next time I see you I'll let you take the Bronco for a spin see if you're not a convert.
Cheers, Rick.

Here's a website for ya.
Fourdoorbronco.com
Excursion tops don't come off, unless you want to do the first conversion.
Hey, are you and I the only ones on this Chapter?
Geez, Cheers, Rick.
