I only mentioned title in conversation not meaning to cause any problems on here or thinking of title swaps or the likes. I have title to both my pickup and my panel but they were registered as unfit vehicles, one day the will have to be re-registered as fit before I take the pleasure cruise. I made sure I was the titled owner before I sunk my hard earned cash into them. Please brush the hair down on the back of your neck, lol

In Saskatchewan and likely in the rest of Canada we can get a new VIN or reconstruction title upon vehicle inspection. Our province doesn`t use vehicle titles similar to the US, only a bill of sale and if needed proof of prior registration.
What I referred to is the FTE policy used to protect this site from legal or liability issues by promoting illegal activities of title sale or swap.

Basically it's the same thing, just different requirements in different states.

Why frame swap? The stock frame is great with a couple of minor modifications:

Triangulated 4 link rear
Ford 9" rear
Airbags
custom crossmembers
box the entire frame
mustang II IFS
79-93 Mustang power rack
custom motor and tranny mounts to drop in 302 and C4 tranny
custom brake/power master cylinder setup

VOILA!! Only took 4 years to get a rolling chassis!

One man's minor modification is another man's major undertaking... In my case I want 4WD. By the time I would get done doing all that stuff I would be in for about 5k more than I am spending and it would not be any better, just more expensive.

Later Man...

Bob, excellent idea!

Lets take it further. 1. Frame swaps 2. Front clip swaps 3. After market front suspension kits. A lot of kits are designed for sbc not true blue, some for sbf but not with PS rack. Some not for flatheads. Some kits require rear sump oil pan. 4. Rear suspension setups. As a FNG explain a search of the board.

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/6...-articles.html Councilman, a search of the board would be looking through past threads. Clicking on the link I provided will show alot of good ones. In particular, posts # 12 and 13 which are front suspension and rear axle swaps.

Havi

Thanks for the info. I also found search under forums. Curiosity killed the cat. Your photo looks familiar, did you used to star in the Courtship of Eddie's Father? LOL.

Use the search in the upper left of centre in these pages then click on ''advanced search''.
It`s been working well if you get the exact and proper search phrase, you may have to try afew different ones at first.
Search in this 48/60 forum for the best results for these years of trucks. Once you get used to the search it`ll come in handy.
