Hey Ken. Man, things have got to be tough for you guys there at the dealership. I heard this morning Ford sales took a 34% drop in September!

As a matter of fact...I was just heading out to the rockpile...I've got the late shift today.

Business is off...can't get anyone to open the door of a new truck...let alone buy one!!!

Fortunately...I've been around long enough and have a pretty good following so things aren't too bad. Not good by any means...but overall...not too bad.

I was entertaining the thought of maybe trading in my Super Duty for an 05 or 06 F-150, since I really don't need the diesel anymore (selling my boat) and I'd like to get my payments down, but I'm thinking I'd end up taking a bath on it.

Morning Miles...I have to confess...I fell asleep in the recliner after the top of the first...woke up to some sort of western on TBS.

Had to fire up the 'puter in order to find the score!!! 1 down...10 to go!!!

"Splish splash...I was taking a bath"...sad...but true. Trading in the truck will probably result in a dunking.

My nephew recently sold his truck privately...did very well. Before trading it in I would exhaust every avenue to dispose of it privately. Find out what the dealers are offering...and go from there. Don't forget to add to the value any tax savings you may get by trading. Anything above that is $$$$$ in your pocket.

That's probably the way I'd go, selling it privately. My problem is, I love this truck and don't know if I could part with it!!!

That's where folks can get into trouble...when emotions get involved. I've said many times...you can't be an effective negotiator when emotions get involved.

Good afternoon Ken, Pat, Miles and any late bloomers.

I couldn't get out of bed this morning after staying up to watch the Red Sox.

Well worth the wait, but there was a few touch and go moments..

Afternoon Pat..

I would just keep it if I were you..

If you enjoy driving it that makes it worth while..

If you were having reliablity issues I would say dump it..

my 2 cents

I had to do a bunch of stuff before the game and when the time came to watch the first pitch a friend I haven't seen in about a year called and I ended up at some cowboy bar and tried to watch the game there. i got home in time to watch the seventh inning trying to not fall asleep on the couch.

Work is good...I've got Norton...never an issue.

Of course...another computer repair dude has told me that Norton is junk...as I recall...he said that about my Gateway. Never an issue with the "Cow" either.
