Not too too bad, starting to get colder day by day, how are you doing out west? I see your having issues selling your house, that sucks!

Thing's are good other than I can't sell the house.
The way thing's seem to be going in the economy right,it's no surprise though.

Yeah no kidding, and I bet you could sell it if you dropped the hell out of the price, but who wants to do that.
How is your job working out for ya? I forget exactly what you do, but I remember you had to go somewhere and stay in your camper trailer for awhile...

I work for cp rail, locomotive engineer.
I was in my camper for 5 months 4 day's.Now I'm renting a room off a guy in Cranbrook. As you can see he has a computer.
It's nice to be out of the cold, but I wish I was still in the camper.

It's kinda strange being back on-line.
You could still become an engr, the rail way has been doing alot of hireing lately.

How long does it take a guy from the bottom to make it to an engineer? Do you have to have alot of schooling?

It would take a minimum of 2 1/2 yrs.
6-9 months conductor training, then you have to work as a conductor for 2 yrs. After two yrs.,they will ask you if you want to train as a engr.3-4 wks schooling, then depending on how fast you pick up the running a locomotive 6 mnths to a year on the job training.
With that being said, you won't be able to work as an engr full time for quite a while. You would get called for spare work a fair bit though.
