MAP/MAF Install Ford F-150 4.2 2000 4x4

Hi has anybody here ever insalled a MAP enhancer for a hho i'm not sure which wire I need to hook up to my enhancer,it has to be the wire that sends out the signal to ESU.I have it hooked up I'm pretty sure I have the right wire its the blue/red wire or 1st wire from the left.It runs fine on the freeway but in town it keep stalling when I come to a stop light. THANKS Bill

hi bill, i too want to fit a enhancer but doing some research i was under the impression that out trucks were not suitable due to having a cyristal resistant map sensor.
i have been running using a home made hho device and it eventually caused mayhem with the computer, making it run real rich and fluffy at the bottom-end.
that aside if there was a way of fooling the computer it would be brilliant, no more engine knock and more power thru the rev range.
cruising reduced fuel consumption and have been able to hit 25mpg but you cannot live with a motor bogin down at low speeds as you well know.
please let us all know how you get-on. good luck bokker.

hi bill, i have re-read your post and realised you have a map not a maf enhanser. this starts to become more interesting as i was not awear that one could be fitted to the map sensor.
the people you bought the enhanser from should be able to help with the fitting or have you made it your self.
we have very few companys here in the uk making or adapting for hho, let-alone especialy for our trucks.
the nice way to control over fueling would be to control the o2 sensor signal as you discribed. so any further info you aquire along the way will be well recieved. thanks bokker.

Hi bokker thinks for the info,i thought all o2 sensors that are 4 wire were wide band.Well that explains why my check engine light always comes on.I have to clear the memory on my ecu to turn the light off.I no that it (does) lean the fuel but it does not work for the map sensor for city driving so for now I well just shut it off when in the city. Also I just found out that I had 3 leaks in my hho cell and bubbler always check your cell every 2 weeks for leaks and use pipe dope no teflon tape.I'll let you no how it does my cell only makes 1.5 Litrs per min. Thanks Bill
