I know this is the trucks area but since it is the same vintage, i always wondered if it has ever been done?, i have also posted in the e-series area, but i wanted to get your guys comments, since some of you guys have been around these trucks since new, and i think it make a nice little project, i know ford has van/trucks in the 60's but i have noticed that the 75-91 vans share the same dent side mark and marker lights and taillights, i think a 75 e series van with the cab on frame, would look sweet with a 73-79 box on the back, but a short box would look even cooler since the snub nose and short box would make it look real neat. anyways post any pictures and story's about this, or more modern versions on this idea. And i know i should keep this on our trucks, but i just had to see if has been done before, and it kinda has half to do with our trucks i guess lol. post away

not sure but ya could use a cube van cab, as long as it did not connect to the back, i have seen some that are closed off from the cube, i think it would look cool, and would really catch peoples attention at a car show and on the street! i have roughly use ms paint to chop a van, put i can't seem to post pictures of it, how do i post pictures?

thanks projectbad78 for the tip and i think it looks sweet, i know the chop is ****ty, but its just to get the idea, and you could shop a truck cab back and weld it to the van part and chop the van to make a box then get a 1973-1979 tailgate and install it and mod in posts for the tailgate latches, anyways post what ya think of the concept, i think its quite a neat look and is something new and fresh

I have seen a few driving around. One with a pickup box, one dually, and a flatdeck. Custom jobs, sorry no pics of em, heh. They looked odd, just because it wasn't normal-but seemed just as versatile as a pickup!
Older vans could be bought real cheap, and the vans did usually have alot of HD options-so I could see why guys would do things like that.

i would love to do this, but currently i am deep into my 77 4x4 frame off resto, so this dream will have to wait for a good while, i would love to build this if i came into money lol it is a slick little truck i wish ford actually made them, i don't see a problem with it, just a odd way to do a truck and i would like to see it swb with a killer 460 and muscle car stance or even a 4x4 frame would be cool, i have a 4x4 so i now know what those 4x4 guys are talking about, i love mine.
