CV-Axle repair
For anyone who has the ticking in their front end from a bad CV-axle, I did this job this weekend, and it was no where near what I expected. Very simple and only took me about 90 minutes (I have air tools, which helped immensely). I had to use a breaker bar on the inner-cv flange to differential bolts, but other than that, a puller, torque wrench, and miscellaneous sockets was all that was needed. One tip is to remove the steering knuckle altogether to get to the flange bolts easier, just don't drop it on your shin like I did.
Anyway, no more ticking, and I'm only out 51 bucks from NAPA. Not a bad deal.
