Just purchased a 99 Explorer and am not new to the 4x4 world. Is there any trick to switching in to low gear? It is an automatic and when you turn it to 4x4 high the light indicates on the dash but 4 low does nothing. I did not get the owners manual with it and I am hoping that it is not a problem. Thanks in advance.

When you want to shift to 4x4 low, come to a complete stop, shift truck into neutral and push the low button. It should make a few clicks and engage.
