Max turbo boost only 23 psi now.

My truck seems to run fine except all of the sudden it's only boosting 23 psi max, was easily boosting 27psi before. No codes. No smoke. No holes in any of the four turbo/intercooler/intake boots. I pulled the egr valve and it's as clean as it was when I cleaned it over a year ago. I just had to wipe the valve with a cloth and it was shiny. Low end power is normal, just the top end is weaker. The turbo has less than 10k miles on it since being replaced. Anyone have any suggestions?

Egr is plugged in then? You'll need to check the codes because there must be one there

Yes it's plugged in. No codes. That's what makes this more confusing to me.

Sounds like your turbo veins are stuck, similiar to the condition when you unplug the EGR. You can clean the turbo, if you do a search, the instructions are around.

I have a feeling it's not the vanes this time. I drive the truck hard and hit 27 psi several times per week so the vanes get opened.

Try reseting the PCM and letting it relearn.

Disconnect the batteries and turn on the lights for a few minutes, this clears the computer and everything has to relearn your driving habbits. I've just done this recently and afterwards my truck was shifting funny for a day or so, but has smartened up again and drives real good. I did it because I have my egr unplugged but a Ford tech had plugged it back in when it was in for some work and the truck started driving like crap afterwards.

It's an Isspro 30psi gauge. The truck has always hit 27psi no problem until this week. There was a poll on here recently for what the average boost was and I think 40% or so had boost 25-28psi and under 25psi was about 13% only IIRC.

On my 06' F-350 6.0,,when my foot is in it,,it's at about 29 psi,,just under the 30 on the stock gauge !
Also I have noticed,,I have a set of floor mats that slide around some,,,sometimes it gets under the excell pedal,,,and wont let it depress all the way down,,,that has caused a lower boost on my truck !
