engine & tranny swap - need a little help

I'm swapping a 302/C6/205 into a 91 Isuzu Trooper. This weekend I finished making the adapters for the motor mounts and I noticed that the tranny sits a little off center. The tranny is offset to the drivers side, is this going to produce any problems with the drive line angle? I looked under a '79 f-150 (same as what this came out of) and it appeared to have the tranny offset, is this the same senario?

Do you order your big chrome shoe horn yet???:-staun

Sounds like a cool swap.

Depnding on how much were talking the Universals should take this up.
But if it's a big amount, you may need to make adjustments.

Actually, there was no need for the shoehorn. I installed a body lift about 2 yrs ago so it made for just the right amount of room. The 302 is reasting on the factory 4 cylinder mounting plates, via a set of '70 mustang motor mounts and custom brackets. The C6 is a whole other story. If it wasn't for the body lift it wouldn't fit.

As for the angle on the u-joint, I've herd that it will only handel up to 7 degrees before I start having trouble with binding.

since the trooper is light, why not use a c-4? it is tough and much smaller than a c-6. It was used in full size trucks for a while until c-6 replaced it.
there are lots of kits to toughen it up.

I've already pulled the C6, for a C4 instead and I'm going to back it up with a D300 for now, unless I can find a tranny / tcase combo.
