I live right near a dealer who has an 2008 FX4 Crew with the FX4 Luxury package and leather seats thats had it on the lot for about 8 months now.

I have a little less then 2 years on my current F150 lease. Although I'd like to dream that he'd take my lease back for me to get that truck, I doubt that would happen(or would it?)

Realistically, how low do you all think they may go on a purchase or even a lease. I know Ford doesnt want to lease becuase of the resale value on pick ups right now. I mean the truck hasnt moved and the '09's are comming.

I'd like opinions. Thank you!

Oh BTW, the MSRP on it is a tad over $40,000

hay I just got a new 08 F-150 5.4 in it crew cab love it my dealer here do not have the fx4 but I'm happy with my 4X4 got it for $29300

 

We have a dealer here in florida that still has a 2007 F250 4x4 on the lot. He doesnt want to budge too much on this one. But then again it has a lift kit,dual exhaust, 36s and fully chromed out.

 

my FX4 Lux was MSRP'd at $44,500


I paid $32,000 in Oct 2006 when the truck market was still pretty damn strong.


I see no reason why you couldn't get that truck out the door for under $30,000


especially with the market the way it is. he'll probably rape you on the lease turn-in though

nothing ventured nothing gained my local dealer sent me a $14,000 voucher for a '08 FORD the need the sales

 

Funny, I got a $12,500 voucher the other day from my Stealership off an '08 F-150... This is all inline with the fact that Ford has too many F-150's on the lots.. and they are delaying the introduction of the new 2009 F-150 until they get a better inventory position...

 

Can you use thoes vouchers along with other discounts?

I called the dealer yesterday and they told me to come in and talk to them. I dont care for this particular Ford dealer and try to avoid them. Ive had a bad experience with them for a used car inquiry back in 1996, and JOKE of an offer they made to me back in 2005 on a truck, and one bad service experience. Thankfully, I live in "Ford Country" where Ive got dealers around every corner to choose from. I live closest to this dealer, and thats how I noticed the truck. I will go in and see what they have to say. Worse case scenerio is they offer another joke of a deal. If thats the case, Ill just wait for my lease to be up and go for the '09 and up body style.

Whats the soonest anyone has heard of beeing pulled out of a lease? What are the penaltys for breaking a lease early?

This really isn't anything but a win-win for me. I'd love to have this loaded FX4, but if not Im happy with my '08 XLT 4X4 SCAB.

 

Well just an update FYI: I stopped in today after work and the truck is gone! They did a dealer trade with it and someone at an out of state dealer bought it. Go figure. If I went in only one day sooner.....

Last weekend I saw an ad for 13k off retail...and have seen higher cuts...not to mention what Ford is doing.....The lots are overflowing with them....I have a 2wd Lariat Super Crew ...loaded to the nines...and when we bought they had a few cuts and discounts but not like what they will/or are doing here....
I guess mine is broken in now and fuel economy{ like saying military intelegence} is about 12-1`3 around town...I kinda knew what it would be going in but really didnt expect $4.00 a gallon gas....I'll deal with that by riding my motorcycle more...I will say I love my truck it does what I need for it to do....pulls like a champ hauls{well I don't put a lot of stuff in my bed} but the capability is there...comfortable as a limo and if ya kick it in the butt it goes great.....hell take a bump on the lease ....damn the milage I dont think they'll ever be this cheap again....
